Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

Gamestop is looking for a Finance Manager to support physical store and strategic initiatives. This highly visible role will:
 

  • Develop financial models to facilitate decisions for our retail, real estate, and physical store teams.
  • Build financial and operational plans (outputs, inputs).
  • Demonstrate high judgement – clearly articulating financial and operational risks and opportunities.
  • Deliver meaningful insights and analyses to drive top line revenue growth and bottom line profitability.

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE)
 

  • Accredited Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, or accounting required; additional undergraduate study, certifications, and related leadership experience may be considered in substitution
  • 6 or more years of related experience required

     

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES
 

  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others.

  • Willingness to learn in a cross-functional environment to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
  • Proficient knowledge of business concepts and tools (financial statements, break-even, cost benchmarking, pricing, sensitivity analysis, NPV, ROI, etc.)
  • Ability to assertively solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Demonstrated capacity for gathering and scrutinizing data to identify issues, opportunities, patterns, and sustainable business solutions
  • Expert knowledge of Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient knowledge of technical modeling skills
  • Advanced degree (e.g. MBA) preferred
