SUMMARY

Working with general supervision, the HRIS Technician updates, evaluates, analyzes, designs, tests and maintains company Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). The role supports users with issues and assists with the implementation of new systems and modifies existing systems. This position reports to the HR Systems Support Manager. The principal business outcome for this role is to ensure that HR systems keep pace with our rapidly growing business, are intuitive to use, provide accurate information, and are stable and sustainable. Associate may interact with his or her supervisor several times a week, perhaps daily, to receive guidance and feedback. Some non-routine activities may require a supervisor’s advance approval.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

• Support Corporate and HR Operations goals and initiatives through special projects

• Document processes and workflows for existing HR information systems

• Develop business requirements for system implementations and modifications

• Maintain HRIS systems integration diagram and related interface documentation

• Configure systems including but not limited to Workday

• Analyze systems and provide and implement approved recommendations for correction and improvement

• Develop and execute UAT scripts

• Develop requested reports for internal customers to meet business needs

• Troubleshoot  system issues and ensure resolution

• Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other major business units throughout the GameStop organization

• Manage relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field preferred

• Two or more years of related HRIS experience required; experience in a retail environment preferred

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Expert skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

• Working knowledge of Workday HCM

• Working knowledge of database-related reporting

• Working knowledge of HR disciplines including Benefits, Payroll and Staffing

• Proficient analytical skills, with a focus on HR and financial data

• Working knowledge of SQL, XSLT and/or XML preferred

• Expert ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English

• Proficient ability to complete multiple, overlapping and potentially conflicting responsibilities in a fast-paced, results-oriented organizational culture

• Expert ability to work collaboratively, cooperatively and cross functionally with others

• Possess the learning capacity to receive and apply cross-functional training; willingness to assist other functions and work groups as needed so the department achieves or exceeds its overall business objectives

• Proficient presentation skills to effectively present information to an audience of varying responsibility within the company
