Working independently and collaboratively with other Merchandising leaders, the Inventory Planning and Replenishment Manager is responsible for domestic-based Collectibles inventory planning and replenishment.  The Manager identifies and actions the information and timing required to support new Collectibles product launches, promotional events, seasonal selling peaks, and other business activities related to our rapidly growing Collectibles business. This role interacts frequently and strategically with senior leaders from Merchandising, BP&A, Logistics, and Operations to ensure the organization has the Collectibles inventory needed to drive profitable, sustainable sales. The Manager will interact with his or her supervisor as needed.   While routine activities may be completed without a supervisor’s advance approval, other activities will require supervisor or business partner consultation.


  • Forecast and track Collectibles sales; work collaboratively with BP&A to create forecasting models.
  • Plan Collectibles inventory buying and replenishment.
  • Responsible for the development, design, and implementation of Collectibles inventory replenishment processes.
  • Working with other business partners, develop robust Collectibles forecasting and fulfillment processes throughout the organization and with supply partners.
  • Validate forecasting and fulfillment strategies by Collectibles category, factoring in collaborative input from field sales, merchandising, and supply partners.
  • Create and action replenishment strategies that account for supply constraints and close gaps between demand-based forecasts and category goals.
  • Perform analyses to support the inventory and supply chain teams.
  • Identify and respond favorably to opportunities related to in-stock and inventory turnover improvements.
  • Develop analysis and recommendations to influence favorable changes within the organization as well as with supply partners.
  • Work frequently and collaboratively with the Merchandising and BP&A teams to forecast and plan Collectibles inventory needs and drive profitable, sustainable Collectibles growth.
  • Inform and support internal business partners on all inventory-related Collectibles trends.
  • Understand implications of assortment decisions and react rapidly and profitably throughout product life cycle.
  • Ensure all channels have the appropriate assortment to drive profitable sales.
  • Partner with vendors and channel teams to drive out channel-specific promotions and offers.
  • Drive the category business plans to achieve financial metrics.
  • Manage vendor relationships with prompt, courteous and professional communication; fact-based information sharing, etc.
  • Creates strong cross-functional partnerships to drive results
  • Act as strategic sales and operational SME for short and mid-term category projects, strategies, or initiatives.
  • Partner with category teams, marketing, operations, re-commerce, IT, finance, demand planning, vendors and other internal and external partners to ensure holistic category plans are developed and executed

  • Accredited Bachelor’s degree with a related field of study required; at least two years of additional related work experience may be considered in substitution          
  • 5 or more years of related experience required; retail experience highly preferred


  • Working understanding of all retail development functions and how they work together to build the business
  • Expert understanding of inventory replenishment processes, tools, and systems
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows-based business computers and Microsoft Office programs; specifically, Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Expert ability to organize, prioritize, and control job responsibilities
  • Expert ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to team members
  • Proficient relationship building skills, including the capacity to predict and manage behavior, build and leverage cross-functional partnerships within and outside of the organization, and leverage influential leadership
  • Expert ability to work under demanding time constraints and production goals
  • Expert project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
