SUMMARY

Working with general supervision, the Data Analysis and CRM Insights Marketing Manager leverages a combination of strategic, quantitative, technical and presentation skills to deliver impactful analyses and easy-to-understand insights while partnering with business leaders, outside agency partners and marketing channel owners to help bring these insights to life in the form of executed customer facing campaigns.   Associates in the role recognize and proactively explores instances where CRM can enhance business decision making, improve the customer experience, and lead to incremental revenue initiatives. As an expert in customer analytics and insights, this role collaborates with business stakeholders, external partners, and IT to influence improvements in the customer data and analysis environments; and may serve as the business stakeholder for data-related technical projects.  Associate may interact with his or her supervisor several times a week, perhaps daily, to receive guidance and feedback. Some non-routine activities may require a supervisor’s advance approval.  This role is generally characterized by moderately high levels of scope and complexity, and a high level of independent decision making.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

• Identify and perform marketing-focused analyses and campaigns that connect consumer data/insights with actionable new business opportunities

• Leverage analytical CRM tools to identify, blend, and analyze available customer data sources and information

• Interpret business requests and needs by proactively mining data sources, developing easily understood hypotheses, and working with cross-functional marketing teams to action on these insights by creating customer facing cross channel campaigns

• Initiate, develop, and perform simple to increasingly complex analytical projects centered around understanding customer behavior and motivations that can lead to better business decisions

• Contribute (influence, define, guide initiatives) in driving change and improvement in GameStop’s customer data environment

• Serve as a principle owner and business representative during data-related IT projects; including development of business requirements and use cases, and performing data validation to assess quality of data/database improvement projects

• Work closely and collaboratively with individuals throughout the organization from a variety of functions

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Business, Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing Analytics or other related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

• 3-5 years of full-time, organizational experience that includes consumer insights and analytic data modeling, complex financial and consumer-facing marketing analyses, related business planning, and supporting system integrations

• Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) in a multi-unit retail environment preferred or relevant CPG experience preferred

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Expert enterprise-level business analysis skills, including the ability to gather, organize, scrutinize, analyze, and interpret large datasets and then make actionable, sustainable business recommendations based upon those analyses

• Highly proficient ability to effectively develop and deliver simple, impactful presentations from complex data and analytic insights using charts, graphs or other representations to audiences of varying responsibility within the company

• Proficient ability to understand and utilize internal and external data marts

• Proficient understanding of project planning and implementation, including the ability to work effectively with tight timelines, high quality standards, and demanding, potentially overlapping priorities

• Intermediate to Expert working knowledge of SQL

• Proficient ability to work with Tableau and Alteryx; Expert knowledge preferred

• Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Working knowledge of retail store operations

• Proficient ability to work under demanding time constraints and production goals

• Expert verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with others using spoken and written English, including the ability to communicate effectively with audiences of varied responsibility and quantitative understanding

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Passion for video games and understanding of game industry dynamics is a plus

• Expert ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with colleagues, staff and external contacts, and to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a professional team environment
