Job Description



While under supervision, the Omnichannel Analytics Summer Intern, will be exposed to multiple aspects of an analytics role. The Analytics Intern will be assigned to the GameStop’s eCom Analytics teams and will have an opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on multiple team projects and support activities, while learning the analytics process and data presentation essentials.


  • Collaborate with team members to deliver projects on time
  • Gain a basic understanding and working knowledge of omnichannel and digital analytics, tracking the digital customer’s journey from acquisition, to site behavior, to post-purchase lifecycle
  • Gain a basic understanding of ways to provide data-driven recommendations to all aspects of the digital business from website front-end, back-end, fulfilment, and more
  • Gain a basic understanding of Google Analytics, SQL query writing, and advanced excel techniques
  • Gain a basic understanding of data presentation to all levels of leadership utilizing excel, PowerPoint, and other tools
  • Develop project management skills while working with multiple partners to assemble data heavy insight decks and presentations


  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in an undergraduate or graduate program
  • Classified as a Senior in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of internship
  • Business related field of study preferred Business Administration, Business Analytics or Digital Retailing
  • A documented GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and present state-required proof of age documents   


  • Demonstrate desire to learn Digital and Omnichannel Analytics
  • Demonstrate proficiency in mining data to develop reports, analysis, and recommendations
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and be detail oriented.
  • Demonstrable verbal, written, organizational, and professional skills
  • Demonstrable proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Power Point, and Word preferred)
  • Demonstrate desire to learn SQL query writing
  • Prior experience in the retail or gaming industries
