SUMMARY

The Replenishment Driver Trainer teaches prospective Replenishment drivers all procedures and functions of the Replenishment department, which involves the put away and retrieval of products from reserve locations. The principal business outcome of this role is to prepare associates in becoming proficient Replenishment drivers. This position works with general supervision, interacting with a supervisor several times a week, perhaps daily, to receive guidance and feedback. Many non-routine activities will require a supervisor’s advance approval.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

• Train associates concerning the operational procedures of the Replenishment department and teach them how to become effective and safe drivers within the warehouse.

• Operate a forklift to move and put away product. Replenish pick areas identified by replenishment reports and various requests for needed product.

• Transport products by hand, truck, or forklift equipment to maintain continuous flow of product.

• Ensure forklift equipment is in good operable condition including upkeep of some minor maintenance items. 

• Identify process improvements, when appropriate, and communicate to department leaders.

• Communicate all issues to management that could result in process delays, safety issues, or otherwise cause a loss to the company or its associates.

• Consistent with the general nature of this role, work collaboratively with others throughout the Refurbishment (Refurb) and Distribution Centers (DC) to achieve or exceed department objectives.

• Follow all known safety procedures and utilize good operational, loss prevention and safety judgment at all times.

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years old and provide state-required proof of age documents

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• At least one year of work experience required; work experience training others preferred

• At least one year of experience as a GameStop Replenishment Driver required (for internal candidates only)

• Forklift Driver certification required

• Must be able to lift and/or move boxes, totes and other objects weighing up to 50 pounds

• Must be able to bend, stoop, climb on ladders, and drag wooden pallets weighing up to 60 pounds on an infrequent, as needed basis

• Must be able to stand, bend and lift for up to 8 hours daily

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Communicate effectively with others of varying responsibility using written and spoken English — bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred

• Working knowledge of basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)

• Proficient learning capacity to receive cross-training in order to support other departments

• Ability to work under demanding time constraints and production goals

• Ability to participate in cross-functional training designed to support the achievement of overall DC and Refurb objectives

• Ability to work in other areas as needed within the general scope of this role

• Working knowledge of how adult learners acquire, apply and retain vocational knowledge in a diverse environment; ability to modify training approaches as needed to maximize learning for diverse learners

• Ability to understand and comply with all GameStop policies and procedures, including but not limited to, those related to attendance, safety, conflict of interest, confidentiality, honesty and ethical conduct
