  • Work with the Global Privacy Officer to implement and manage a Data Privacy compliance program for GME
  • Exercise sound judgment to effectively assess and balance risk in the provision of advice to the business
  • Partner with technology architects, developers and business owners, product/program managers to design and develop privacy requirements and solutions across multiple technologies, platforms, and customer and employee experiences
  • Lead cross-team collaboration of activities built on data protection requirements and focused on delivering business and technology results
  • Conduct vendor risk and privacy risk assessments to evaluate applications, systems, vendors and business process to identify privacy and security issues and ensure they meet GameStop policies and standards
  • Interpret privacy requirements, legal regulations, and industry best practices, and identify how they impact business and technology initiatives
  • Manage the prioritization of business needs, project related work, and team and partner capabilities to manage an effective program and deliver exceptional results
  • Liaise with leadership to ensure privacy program aligns with the priorities and improvements needed for a successful enterprise-wide privacy program
  • Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to key stakeholders
  • Support building and maintaining centralized privacy controls


  • Familiarity with technology and information systems is desirable to appropriately assess privacy risks in response to implementation of new technologies, programs and processes 
  • Strong technology and business requirement writing experience
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and be proactive in identifying opportunities to support and enhance respect for privacy 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and manage multiple projects 
  • Experience in privacy / data protection or directly related compliance experience (preferred) 
  • IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional/U.S. (CIPP/US) (preferred)
  • IAPP Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) (preferred)
  • Experience designing and running Privacy programs e.g. GDPR, PCI, SOX (preferred)
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and information security management frameworks e.g., ISO27000, COBIT, NIST 800, etc. (preferred)
  • Experience using TrustArc’s Privacy Management Platform (preferred)


  • Expert ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with colleagues, staff and external contacts, and to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a professional team environment
  • Proficient ability to manage emotionally-charged disagreements through consensus building, relationship management, and the formation and presentation of logical, data-based arguments
  • Demonstrated capacity for gathering and scrutinizing data to identify issues, opportunities, patterns, and sustainable business solutions
  • Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English
  • Possess the learning capacity to receive and apply cross-functional training; willingness to assist other functions and work groups as needed so the department achieves or exceeds its overall business objectives  
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows-based business computers and Microsoft Office programs; specifically, Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project and Word
