GENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the Global Privacy Officer to implement and manage a Data Privacy compliance Program for GME.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of privacy principles (including CCPA & GDPR) requirements and best practices, and understand how they apply to business practices and projects
  • Lead cross-team collaboration of activities built on CCPA requirements and focused on delivering business and technology results
  • Interpret privacy requirements, legal regulations and industry best practices, and identify how they impact business and technology initiatives
  • Partner with business owners, technology architects, developers and product/program managers across other business units including Information Security, Technology, Operations, Marketing, HR, and affiliated companies to design and develop privacy requirements and solutions across multiple technologies, platforms, and customer and employee experiences
  • Manage the prioritization of business needs, project related work, and team and partner capabilities to manage an effective program and deliver exceptional results
  • Liaise with leadership to ensure CCPA program aligns with the priorities and improvements needed for a successful enterprise wide CCPA program
  • Conduct vendor risk assessments to evaluate vendor security controls and ensure they meet GameStop policies and standards.
  • Support the assessment (PIA, DPIA, etc.) of current and planned applications, systems and business processes, and identify privacy issues and design solutions for any existing gaps to ensure privacy principles, policies, practices and customer expectations are met.
  • Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to key stakeholders

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • 2 or more years' experience in privacy / data protection or directly related compliance experience 
  • IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional/U.S. (CIPP/US) (preferred)
  • IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe. (CIPP/E) (preferred)
  • Strong technology and business requirement writing experience
  • Experience designing and running Privacy programs (e.g. GDPR, PCI, SOX)
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and information security management frameworks (e.g., IS027000, COBIT, NIST 800, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of Personal Information data scope
