SUMMARY 

GameStop is seeking a Site Merchandising Specialist to join our fast-growing ecommerce team. In this role you will execute strategies that support a best-in-class shopping experience for GameStop customers. You must be passionate about the customer and help them find exactly what they’re looking for through navigation, search, and marketing content. The ideal candidate is action oriented, and able to balance strategic thinking with attention to executional detail. 

This position reports into our Site Merchandising Manager and is based in Grapevine, Texas.  

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • In partnership with the Site Merchandising Manager and Site Merchandisers, develop and implement site merchandising strategies to drive sales, as well as manage daily operations. 

  • Analyze and leverage customer behavior to prioritize the most critical actions necessary to improve the shopping experience. 

  • Curate category pages and maintain links for content including Emails, Homepage, onsite creative content. 

  • Optimize navigation and onsite search for optimum conversion. 

  • Research industry trends and provide competitive analysis to identify white space and opportunities online. 

  • Provide insights on the business to drive results and act on business opportunities. 

  • Utilize data and key metrics (e.g., traffic, conversion, click through rates) and other analytics to improve customer experience and key metrics (i.e., traffic, conversion, bounce rate, add to bag & bag abandonment). 

  • Collaborate with both external and internal groups like marketing, creative, and merchandising to support business unit strategies and goals. 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of 1-2 years relevant work experience 

  • Previous experience with content management systems and retail website platforms. Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware) a plus. 

  • Basic understanding of web analytics, site search, SEO, and retail business performance metrics. 

  • Working knowledge of basic HTML, FTP, File Editor applications, Excel (v lookup, pivot tables) required  

  • Photoshop experience a plus
