  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent industry experience  
  • 6+ years’ experience in software engineering in large distributed systems environment 
  • 3+ years’ experience directly managing software engineers  
  • Hands-on coding experience with implementing services, including databases, caches, queues, and REST frameworks  
  • Demonstrated experience measuring system health and outcomes with data  
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills  

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Experience driving improvements to engineering process and tools like CI/CD, code review, monitoring, logging/metrics  
  • Experience managing developer on-call support  
  • Experience with AWS or other public cloud and its managed services  
  • Experience in the store/retail space
