SUMMARY

With guidance from the Manager, SEO, the SEO Marketing Specialist will support execution and analysis of on and off-page SEO activities.  This role partners with ecommerce product teams, IT, marketing, merchandising, and analytics to execute, analyze, and report on SEO activities to improve search engine visibility for GameStop web and mobile properties.  This individual has experience executing across technical and content SEO with on-time and high-quality completion of initiatives. The ideal candidate is metrics-driven and obsessed with elevating customer experience.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts research and monitoring of keywords, competitor, and on-site opportunities for GameStop SEO

  • Analyzes, reports, and provides insights on GameStop SEO metrics

  • Performs keyword research and supports maintenance of SEO tracking tools

  • Optimizes copy and landing pages for SEO opportunity

  • Conducts research and monitoring of keywords, competitor, and on-site opportunities for GameStop SEO

  • Executes tasks to leverage off-site content to lift GameStop’s authority as a destination for gaming

  • Provides auditing and QA support to review site enhancements for SEO

  • Partners across editorial and marketing teams on SEO on the planning, programming, and creation of content

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree with a regionally accredited program or 3+ years relevant work experience

  • One to three years of experience supporting SEO programs

  • Experience with SKU intensive retail ecommerce businesses

PERFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point

  • Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms, including tools specific to search engine optimization (SEO) such as or like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, BrightEdge/Conductor, SEM Rush, MOZ, and Screaming Frog

  • Ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English

  • Able to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities
