Summary:

The Specialist, Paid Search will focus on driving growth through our search portfolio across all engines and business categories by implementing best practices, rigorously testing new hypothesis, and obsessing over metrics.  Together with our in-house paid search team, the specialist will build campaigns from scratch, mine our accounts and the landscape for new opportunities, partner with our merchandising team, and prepare reports/summaries on performance.





Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Drive business results for the entire paid search portfolio across all engines
  • Builds search marketing capabilities that create a competitive advantage for GameStop
  • Build campaigns from the ground up, including set-up, keyword research, competitive analysis, ad copy generation and experimentation.
  • Take direction from paid search manager to optimize campaigns on a daily basis by identifying opportunities for growth to push and areas of inefficiency to reduce
  • Improves conversion rates (CRO) across all breakpoints in the search marketing funnel by building a robust testing pipeline
  • Work directly with our dedicated Google/Bing teams to ensure our programs are always pushing the boundaries
  • Assist search leaders with reporting, billing and account upkeep
  • Support A/B testing initiatives across search portfolio to continually drive growth & efficiency

Education/Experience:

  • MUST HAVE:  deep passion for performance-based marketing
  • MUST HAVE: experience managing paid search campaigns for an ecommerce operation
  • MUST HAVE: experience planning, launching, and testing with 3rd party bid management tools
  • MUST HAVE: 3+ years’ experience in managing large scale paid search programs
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance or related field
  • Candidate must be self-directed and effective working independently, yet equally comfortable contributing in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strength in data, metrics, and performance marketing is required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
