Job Description



Supporting the paid performance marketing team, the Manager, Marketing Analytics will build and lead the team that delivers rapid and innovative analytics solutions to measure, optimize, and rapidly grow a large retail ecommerce business.  This role partners with leadership, marketing, merchandising, ecommerce, and operations teams to develop data-driven insights to drive customer, financial, and product growth for paid media marketing activation.  The ideal candidate has success stories leveraging analytical data and insights that tie to significantly scaling growth for a retail ecommerce business.   • Develops the roadmap to continually improve ability to measure and optimize paid media performance
  • Acts quickly to support speed to market for continual testing, learning, and optimization of marketing tactics
  • Synthesizes data from multiple sources to clearly communicate results, insights, and opportunities to improve business results
  • Define, measure, and provide insights on KPI’s across performance marketing channels, tactics, and testing
  • Partner within the organization to identify gaps in current or future measurement capabilities and participate in delivering forward-thinking solutions to maintain leading edge capabilities
  • Translates large volumes of data into actionable insights and adds visual storytelling to clearly illustrate and educate on key opportunities
  • Leads on-going efforts to improve performance of a multi-channel portfolio, such as attribution, media mix, etc.
  • Forecasts business growth scenarios such as budgets, revenue, customer, and profitability
  • Leads activities to enhance measurement, reporting, and forecasting customer file growth across acquisition, retention, reactivation, and loyalty for performance digital marketing activities
  • Leads, develops, and improves on-going reporting for regular dashboards and ad hoc analyses
  • Effectively collaborates across cross-functional teams to influence and gain alignment on solutions for effective measurement of business growth
  • Provides updates and opportunities from industry trends, competitive research, and emerging opportunities


  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative such as Business Analytics, Data Science, Math, Statistics, Marketing, Economics, or a closely related field
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing analytics with experience supporting retail ecommerce
  • 3+ years of experience managing a team of analytics professionals
  • Understanding of standard eCommerce and performance marketing metrics


  • Master’s Degree in a Quantitative discipline preferred
  • Preferred experience working with paid digital performance marketing for ecommerce retail business
  • Experience with web analytics platforms with Google Analytics preferred
  • Preferred experience with GBQ, Power BI or similar
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in one or more SQL/ R/ Python/ Matlab/ Stata/ VBA
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels using written and spoken English including the ability to provide clear guidance and constructive feedback to team members
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Able to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities
  • Analytical & strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills
