SUMMARY

The Order Fulfillment Trainer trains new Order Fulfillment Associates in the processes and procedures of the Order Fulfillment department to fulfill orders in a timely and accurate manner; as well as to support others throughout departments/zones as needed. The principal business outcome of this role is to increase through training the Order Fulfillment team’s capacity to produce accurate, timely work. This position works with general supervision, interacting with a supervisor several times a week, perhaps daily, to receive guidance and feedback. Many non-routine activities will require a supervisor’s advance approval.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

• Train new Order Fulfillment Associates concerning the operational procedures of the Order Fulfillment department.

• Pack boxes with specific products, as indicated by Pick-to-Light system, arranging and wrapping/cushioning products appropriately to withstand shipment without becoming damaged.

• Report depleted stock and flow rack difficulty to Line Leader.

• Scan box labels into Pick-to-Light system by utilizing a laser scanner.

• Pick up and discard paper, packing/wrapping materials, empty cartons, and all trash/debris throughout work shift.

• May be required to train and serve as a back-up to the Order Start Coordinator as needed.

• When appropriate, identify and communicate recommendations related to Order Fulfillment scheduling, assignments, and general process improvements.

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years old and provide state-required proof of age documents

• High school diploma or GED required

• At least one year of work experience – work experience in a distribution center preferred

• Previous experience training others preferred

• At least one year of experience as a GameStop Order Fulfillment required (for internal candidates only)

• Must be able to lift and/or move boxes, totes and other objects weighing up to 10 pounds from a height of up to 6 feet

• Must be able to push boxes along mechanically assisted conveyor weighing up to fifty (50) pounds

• Ability to stand, bend and lift for up to 8 hours daily

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Ability to communicate effectively with management and co-workers using written and spoken English — bilingual English/Spanish preferred

• Working knowledge of basic mathematical functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide), including familiarity of Roman numerals

• The learning capacity and agility needed to participate in cross-functional training to assist in other department areas as needed

• The ability to work cooperatively in other distribution center and refurbishment center areas as required to help others achieve or exceed overall distribution center and refurbishment center objectives

• Ability to work under demanding time constraints and production goals

• Ability to work in an area with dimensions of approximately three feet wide, including the willingness and capacity for working in close proximity with others in an environment that encourages diversity and cooperative work behaviors.
