SUMMARY

The Gamer Fund is an employee-sponsored charitable organization that provides financial grants to assist GameStop associates with their basic, short-term needs in the event of an unforeseen emergency or hardship. Working with direct supervision, the Gamer Fund Program Administrator supports the Gamer Fund grant and administrative committees by supporting all administrative operations associated with the Gamer Fund. These functions include, but are not limited to, application processing, data verification, grant tracking, marketing, communications, fundraising, and reporting. The Gamer Fund Administrator also supports other activities, as needed, to support GameStop’s philanthropic activities, within the general scope of his or her regular responsibilities. Associate will interact with his or her supervisor several times per week or daily, as needed. Because of the sensitive nature of the work performed, most activities require supervisor authorization.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

Grant Operations

  • Communicates with GameStop associates or dependents applying for grant assistances via phone, email and the Gamer Fund website.
  • Supports the Gamer Fund grant and administrative committees by performing all administrative functions associated with the Gamer Fund, including on weekly committee calls to review applications.
  • Processes grant applications, award distributions, and donations (including payroll deductions).
  • Supports direct Supervisor and the Corporate Social Responsibility Supervisor in measuring the success of the Gamer Fund and identify/act on opportunities for improvement.

Employee Relations

  • Provides regular updates on Gamer Fund activities and the financial health of the fund to all stakeholders which are inclusive and not limited to GameStop executive leadership, Gamer Fund Board, Grant and Administrative Committees, Corporate Social Responsibility Supervisor, etc.
  • Works closely with Human Resources partners to respond directly to requests for emergency assistance, disaster-related support, data verification, employment and benefits status.
  • Supports the implementation of all communications activities and strategies to build and promote employee participation in the program.
  • Work with Gamer Fund committees to develop and execute annual fundraising plan to encourage GameStop associates to donate funds and to volunteer their time.
  • Serves as one of the primary contacts for Gamer Fund applicants.

Marketing and Communications

  • Maintains the Gamer Fund website via regular updates and with assistance from YourCause account manager.
  • Supports the development and implementation of Gamer Fund communications plans and promotional materials (e.g. newsletters, videos, and other resources) to educate associates about the Fund’s goals, programs and progress.
  • Supports the development of targeted internal communications articles for publication in company channels (e.g. GameStop TV Insider, Inside GameStop News and Grapevine News) as needed.
  • Provide support around the planning and execution of fundraising events throughout year.
  • Additional external and internal communications tasks/duties may be assigned based on the department/company needs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in any academic discipline preferred
  • At least 1 year of corporate operational or administrative experience required
