SUMMARY

Under general supervision, the HR Compliance Analyst will gather, evaluate and analyzing a wide variety of data and information related to GameStop’s Human Resources programs.  This position also provides functional and technical support in the development and delivery of HR measurements, benchmarking and statistical reporting.  Principal outcomes include ensuring HR administrative compliance and providing targeted business intelligence to support strategic decision-making.  An associate in this position may interact with his or her supervisor several times a week to receive guidance and feedback.  Some non-routine activities will require a supervisor’s advanced approval.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Provide analytical support for compliance initiatives including the schedule ordinance reporting and annual reports such as VETS100, EEO-1 as well as Legal requests.
  • Develop and generate reports to meet management requests and business needs for human resources-related information.
  • Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, break down high-level information into details and summarize detailed information to facilitate understanding.
  • Utilize internal systems to run queries and format reports on a periodic basis.
  • Perform routine data audits and validation to identify data discrepancies.
  • Generate ad hoc reports for internal and external customers as needed.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of data accessed during the course of daily activities.
  • Perform other related duties and help with special projects as required.

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources management or related field from an accredited program preferred
  • At least 3 years experience in a Human Resources function required; some supervisory experience preferred

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using spoken and written English
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows-based business computers and Microsoft Office programs; specifically, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
  • Working knowledge of HR Management software such as Workday, PeopleSoft or similar system
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others; conducts working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization
  • Ability to recognize discrepancies/errors in written/recorded data/information including the ability to initiate and respond to work errors in a professional manner, working collaboratively and cooperatively with others
  • Demonstrated capacity for gathering/scrutinizing data to identify issues, opportunities, patterns, and sustainable business solutions
  • Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
