SUMMARY

The Refurb Leadership Development Lead IV position’s primary job functions, under the direction of the department manager or designated upervisor, are to coordinate activities of one or more Refurb process areas to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits by performing duties personally or through subordinates.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Responsibilities include involvement in interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees (with Manager’s approval) as required; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Responsible for supervising 3 to 4 non-exempt leads, and up to 60 non-exempt team members.
  • Responsible for the direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned work area or shift and its employees to meet daily demand while minimizing overtime.
  • Maintains employee performance and attendance records as well as ensuring that GameStop’s quality, safety, and environmental policies are consistently followed.
  • Communicates production and quality standards to all employees and compiles accurate productivity reporting on a timely basis.
  • Interacts with Human Resources, Customer Service, Inventory Control, Accounting, DC, IT and Refurb Management to ensure quality excellence, Inventory integrity, and financial objectives are maintained and/or exceeded.
  • Supports and strengthens Team Building and Continuous Improvement Mission.
  • All coaching, disciplinary action, performance reviews and merit increases must be administered with the designated management sponsor present.

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • Associate’s degree with one year of experience in a leadership role or
  • High School Diploma with three years’ experience in a DC or Refurb environment with at least one year in a Lead or preferably a Lead 2 position.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Must have excellent verbal and written skills to communicate effectively with all levels
  • Must possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and motivate
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a working knowledge of the Refurb Cycle
  • Must be a Team Player with demonstrated results achievement
  • Must be computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office, BRIAN, and WMS
  • Ability to comprehend and adhere to all GameStop policies and procedures, including those related to organizational and position-specific attendance and scheduling, conflict of interest, confidentiality, safety, and honesty
  • Possess the learning capacity to receive and apply cross-functional training; willingness to assist other functions and work groups as needed so the department achieves or exceeds its overall business objectives
