Job Description



Working independently, the Loss Prevention Field Manager initiates, coordinates, and assists in the development of the sales team operational procedures in order to reduce shrinkage, increase safety and protect assets.   They oversee the development and work of the loss prevention specialists, ensure all retail locations are audited regularly, train, and follow up on store operational issues.

  • Oversee the production of 3-5 loss prevention field coordinators
  • Hire new loss prevention field coordinator when growth requires it
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned loss prevention chair
  • Audit retail stores and other RSC locations in specific region bi-yearly or quarterly, include DM on audits one a year
  • Train store managers on their inventory responsibilities & procedures
  • Assist Store Managers to become experts in inventory counts & performing recounts, rebalance transfers, defective transfers- including RMA paperwork and accessory liquidation process
  • Emphasize the development and training of loss prevention specialist to ensure their store audits, training procedures and RMA processes are efficient.  Conduct side by side audits with each operations specialist twice a year; ensure the auditing of retail return centers are conducted.
  • Conduct store assessments/audits, report audit scores to management, and help develop a plan of action for stores who fail to meet minimum audit scores
  • Train and work side by side with Game Stop loss prevention field team twice a year, witness for GameStop interviews as much as possible
  • Initiate and schedule loss prevention updates and trainings during district manager and store manager meetings in specific areas of concern.  Provide reporting, incomplete coaching's and areas of concern summaries for high level sales management
  • Assist the loss prevention supervisor in the validation of inventory assets of stores acquired or purchased.
  • Conduct investigations and interviews of employees who perform fraudulent sales, and report and follow up on suspicious practices or invoices uncovered when auditing locations and reviewing DVRs footage.  Including OPUS mobile, camera research and follow up with law enforcement
  • After completing an investigation recommend  disciplinary action to sales management and HR for their review
  • Train the sales staff on loss prevention procedures such as burglary, armed robbery fraud, live bar theft, GPS, shrinkage, count sheet, and negligence report procedures
  • Follow up on all fraud, LP daily summary, gadget guard, inventory report, and negligence reports to find employees who cause loss to the company and train them
  • Terminate and prosecute all employees who are stealing from the company
  • Adjust weekly store inventory counts, including the follow up verification email to the store
  • Manage the quarterly audit document and report monthly audits numbers
  • Ensure audit score sheets are reported in a timely manner
  • Travel to new acquisitions and perform LP & Inventory assessment for locations in your subdivision of the country
  • Apply the appropriate stage of leadership based on the employee’s competency level: directing, coaching, supporting, or delegating
  • Apply the appropriate level of praise and discipline; document all verbal warnings and disciplinary actions on the Employee Action Form and file with Human Resources

  • BS/BA degree in Business Management or equivalent


  • Microsoft Excel proficiency required
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office products and Windows Operating Systems
  • Work overtime as required
  • Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to team members
  • Expert ability to work under demanding time constraints and production goals
  • Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
  • Possess expert analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
