Working independently, the Threat and Vulnerability Manager enables the business through the delivery of Security Threat and Vulnerability services.  This position manages a program that works collaboratively with IT and the business to identify security vulnerabilities across systems globally and to ensure they are appropriately assessed and remediated.  This role is generally characterized by a moderately high level of scope, a moderate level of complexity, and a high level of independent decision making. 


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

• Manage threat and vulnerability management processes, inclusive of tracking remediation efforts, notifications, metrics, risk ranking, asset management, etc.

• Point of contact and coordination for all security penetration tests.  Ensure findings are appropriately prioritized based on risk to GameStop and there are effective remediation plans developed

• Work closed with the IT Security Risk team to ensure vulnerability risks are properly categorized and documented

• Ensures the Security Operations Center understands the latest threats and appropriate measures can be implemented to detect and prevent those threats

• Translate business needs and regulatory requirements into cost effective and risk appropriate controls.

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the IT security landscape, including emerging risks and security solutions.

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

• Accredited bachelor’s degree in technology, business administration, or similar business discipline; or any equivalent combination of experience and skills required

• 7+ years of professional experience, with 5+ years of experience in information security and/or IT risk management required

• Demonstrates knowledge of information security standards: ISO, NIST, SANs, etc. required

• Industry experience with a retail organization preferred

• Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification preferred

• Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) certification or equivalent  risk management certification preferred
