SUMMARY

Working under the general direction, the Associate Marketing Manager is responsible for implementing multi-channel marketing programs for Trades and Pre-Owned categories for GameStop stores and online. Associate in the role should have a clear vision of the marketing objectives and strategies for each launch and directs the implementation of supporting tactics across the organization (including Merch/buyers, brand, loyalty, digital, email, .com, creative services, social, Ops, PR, customer service, etc.), and outside the organization with advertising and social media agency partners.  This position is instrumental in also securing “owned” media support with internal stakeholders  and ensuring it is reflected on the annual Trades and Pre-Owned marketing  calendar as well as GameStop’s Global Annual Calendar and disseminated to key stakeholders. 


The role will possess a passion for a fast-paced environment, and the individual must have strong project management skills and attention to detail. This role will interact with a supervisor frequently, perhaps daily, for direction and guidance.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*


•         Own implementation of owned channel marketing, including channel specific creative brief development and kick-offs. Brief development under the direction of the manager.


•         Participate in strategic planning meetings, contributing to the development of quality, innovative and creative ideas rooted in insights and data science.


•         Own maintaining marketing promotional calendar and dissemination of information to the appropriate parties.


•         Own creative Trade & Pre-Owned asset creative approval for “owned medias”, including instituting a creative review process to ensure manager approves campaign assets holistically. 


•         Ensures all legal copy, offer information, store list, URL, event pages and any other supportive information for media channels is created and delivered to key stakeholders within timeline and with accuracy. 


•         Owns smaller scale special marketing projects and campaigns as assigned and needed. 


•         Oversee the execution and timely, accurate delivery of deliverables.


•         Ability to evaluate messaging strategies and creative concepts presented by agencies to ensure cost effective and on-target delivery of objectives.


•         Owns responding to Store Communication request related to Trades & Pre-Owned within 48 hours.


•         Clearly communicate project specifics and ongoing status to all team members and keep team members/supervisors informed of project developments/issues.


•         Actively strive to fully understand GameStops “Circle of Life”  business and omnichannel integration opportunities (New, Trades, Pre-Owned, Collectibles).

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)


•         Accredited bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or a related field required


•         3-5 Years marketing or agency experience, with a preference for retail or restaurant background

•         Expert understanding of brand marketing and promotions, event planning, and facilitating effective agency relationships
