SUMMARY

Working independently, the Omnichannel Analytics Product Manager collaborates closely with peers, senior management, marketing, merchandising, and technology teams to identify business opportunities, build product strategy and to achieve core Omnichannel business objectives. The principal outcome of this role is to enable business analysis and insight through system improvements, research, and recommendations, and increase GameStop’s long-term profitability through the analytics products.  Associates in the role will oversee product line expansion and control a large range of financial outcomes.  Associate will interact with his or her supervisor as needed by either. Most activities are completed without a supervisor’s advance approval.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*


•        Build data collection strategy for web/app properties including data layers, tag management and supporting/complementary metrics tools and software


•        Create and manage the campaign tracking strategy


•        Be the expert in Google Analytics and Tag Manager. Own analytics and tagging specifications and requirements, and own approval of changes. Build Dashboards, custom reports, and training as needed to guide business users with new capabilities.


•        Provide analytics and insights that help develop a world-class user experience for the Omnichannel retail platform, across all channels


•        Use and provide data analytics, market research, behavioral studies, and a variety of competitive analyses to help drive decision making, and support ‘what if’ business valuation analysis.


•        Manage external vendors and partners, by communicating needs clearly, prioritizing work appropriately and ensuring high productivity


•        Drive profitable, measurable, product-related revenue growthFacilitate collaboration and consensus among impacted stakeholders to ensure consistent understanding and support of business and consumer needs


•        Develop and own the Data and Analytics Product Strategy, and maintain prioritized product backlogs, and roadmaps to meet strategic goals


•        Define feature enhancements that improve the value and differentiation of related product featuresOwn creation of product requirements for new and existing functionality


•        Lead initiatives from concept to implementation, through product end of life — create, monitor and facilitate the timely execution of related schedules


•        Optimize existing analytics products/features and develop new products for GameStop, based on strategic priorities, industry experience, customer feedback, and marketplace research/trends/analytics


•        Develop and maintain productive cross-functional relationships with merchandising, marketing, information technology, field, and digital commerce partners


•        Manage new product development and feature roadmap from strategic planning to implementation by working with cross-functional teams that include Operations, Marketing, User Experience, Technology, Store Operations, and Finance


•        Analyze product performance and customer feedback post-launch, and respond quickly to help diagnose and correct any problems


•        Remain abreast of competitors and trends in Omnichannel commerce, their particular specialty area/vertical and website design/functionality


•        Integrate emerging technologies into GameStop, when available and aligned with a justified business case


•        Pitch new product ideas to senior management based on sound market opportunity assessment and consumer feedback studies


•        Manage relationships in a manner acceptable to others and the organization


•        Consistently demonstrate a field-facing customer service commitment that includes responding quickly to field requests that make sense for the business, being highly responsive to store-based associates, and prioritizing field needs

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)


•        Bachelor’s degree in merchandising, marketing, finance, business planning and administration, or related discipline required.


•        At least two years of relevant experience as a product manager (or comparable product leadership role) in software, e-Commerce required; experience in a fast-paced, consumer-oriented, e-commerce environment preferred


•        At least 1 year of Agile product development experience preferred

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES


•        Working understanding of Multichannel Commerce, mobile, web services, and other web technologies


•        Working ability to translate desired business outcomes into action plans and tangible deliverables


•        Working ability to work effectively with a variety of constituents (Operations, Marketing, User Experience, Technology, Operations, Legal, etc.)


•        Demonstrated the ability to drive profitability through successful product creation


•        Experience defining and executing marketing and user research as a key dimension of product development
