SUMMARY

Working under general supervision, the Senior Financial Operations Analyst develops, improves, communicates, and supports financial processes and procedures. The primary outcome of this role is to automate finance and accounting processes while applying lean process improvement principles. An analyst in this role is recognized as a process automation authority with the financial knowledge and technical aptitude necessary to independently automate complex financial processes using robotic process automation (RPA) or other similar technology solutions. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills together with a high level of intellectual curiosity are necessary for success in the role. This position interacts with his or her supervisor several times a week to receive guidance and feedback.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Responsible for analyzing, designing, testing, implementing, and supporting Robotic Process Automation solutions
  • Works closely with stakeholders to analyze process requirements and develop process design documents
  • Responsible for the complete deliverable, including error handling, logging, and performance tuning
  • Anticipates, identifies, tracks and resolves technical issues and risks affecting solution performance
  • Leads design reviews and testing
  • Represents RPA offerings to internal customers by helping to convey appropriate use of solution platforms
  • Builds organizational capability through continuous improvement activities; originates action to improve existing conditions and processes; identifies improvement opportunities, generates ideas, and implements solutions
  • Ensures organization-wide understanding and implementation of financial systems and processes, directly assisting end-users as needed
  • Works collaboratively with others within and outside of his or her function to achieve goals, simply processes, reduce costs, and prevent loss.
  • Ensures that work is completed accurately and on time
  • Identifies and facilitates the correction of improper or inefficient financial processes
  • Demonstrates personal ownership of projects and follows through to reach targeted results
  • Assists with special projects as assigned

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in a related field required
  • At least 1 year of experience in an Accounting, Audit, or Finance role required
  • SQL / VBA / Python or other scripting language experience required
  • UiPath experience preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
