The Senior Graphic Designer creates excellent designs for cross-channel initiatives. Working in a team environment, this position will have other designers working directly with them and will work closely with creative department leadership. This position will utilize graphic applications including InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe XD, Dreamweaver and Illustrator in a Mac environment.

The Senior Graphic Designer position creates material for print and digital initiatives, including but not limited to:

•         store marketing and directional signage

•         free-standing-inserts and flyers

•         sale and event collateral

•         emails and push notifications

•         native app designs

•         online banners and landing pages

•         brand and loyalty advertisements

•         shopping guides

This position works directly with client departments, taking an active role in strategy, design and production of materials and serves as an expert resource. An associate in this position will interact with the Creative Manager and creative team members on a daily basis.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

•         Design professional, high-quality graphics.

•         Create cross-channel designs that include GameStop brand goals and business strategies.

•         Create prototypes and user experience flows for website, store and native app environments.

•         Collaborate with internal partners to understand objectives, provide accurate and timely updates and deliver creative alterations.

•         Support the production of additional creative needs as requested by other departments; offer design recommendations to internal customers when appropriate.

•         Collaborate with functional and creative leaders to ensure creative alignment between projects sponsored by brand management, merchandising, and marketing.

•         Provide leadership and technical expertise to creative team members.

•         Maintain proficient knowledge of current technologies and design trends, staying abreast of new and burgeoning technologies and trends in the design community.

•         Help oversee the production and completion of creative projects on time and within budget constraints.

•         Be the subject matter expert in the creative space for internal partners.

Education and Experience Qualifications

•         2+ years of post-secondary education in fine arts, graphic design, or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts or Graphic Design preferred.

•         6+ years of experience in graphic design with focuses in both print and digital; related experience in a multi-unit retail environment preferred.

•         Must be able to present a professional portfolio that includes examples of related work upon request.

Minimum Qualifications, Job Skills and Abilities

•         Expert knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator

•         Proficient knowledge of organizational branding and its relationship to customer experience

•         Proficient knowledge of Adobe XD, Sketch or comparable experience design software

•         Proficient knowledge of information architecture for complex retail websites

•         Proficient knowledge of web and mobile application design

•         Proficient knowledge of four-color, spot, and digital printing processes and prepress requirements

•         Proficient written/verbal communication and presentation skills using spoken English

•         Proficient organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple, overlapping, and potentially conflicting priorities

•         Proficient ability to meet demanding, evolving and frequently overlapping deadlines

•         Proficient with Workfront, Jira, Basecamp or a comparable project management tool

•         Working knowledge of the retail market and environment

•         Working knowledge of HTML and CSS in online and email

•         Working knowledge of Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Marketing Cloud

•         Working knowledge of consumer testing in retail environments
