SUMMARY

Working independently, the Corporate Systems Senior Manager manages technical teams responsible for feature design/development, maintenance, and production support of a successful, high-volume, high-availability applications. This position manages deliverables, project documents, system architecture, and engages with business stakeholders and other IT groups.  In addition, this position develops and maintains new and existing processes to ensure quality in delivery. This position interacts with their manager as needed by either. Most activities are completed without a supervisor’s approval.  Some non-routine activities will require a supervisor’s advance approval.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Collaborate with different constituencies within the organization in order to build consensus around ideas for improvement and other initiatives.

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science Information Systems, Engineering or related field, or equivalent year-for-year work experience in an IT or other related field required
  • At least 7 years overall software development experience with at least 3 years as a software development manager or lead.
  • At least 5-7 years of application design and development experience in Microsoft-based design/development 
  • Experience implementing or supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting or managing Financial related software applications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Proficient ability to manage the technical and functional design, and code reviews of retail store systems working in conjunction with other teams garnered from previous work experience
  • Proficient knowledge of SAFe / Agile Software (SCRUM) development principles
  • Ability to effectively coach, develop, retain, train, hire, and discipline others in order to produce a successful team.
  • Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to team members
  • Working knowledge of local syntax SQL (Standard Query Language) programming including the ability to understand relational data models
  • Knowledge of high volume Retail applications experience preferred
