Working under general supervision, the Supply Chain Systems Specialist develops IT skills needed to work semi-independently on assignments that that assists our warehouses run smoothly on a day-to-day basis. The Supply Chain Systems Specialist works closely on developmental and support assignments with software engineers on the team. The primary business outcome is to master the core toolsets, processes and procedures and be able to complete easy-to-moderately complex work assignments on an independent basis. The specialist receives requests for support directly from customers via email, phone, walkup or other entry points to the Supply Chain Systems team.  The specialist resolves support requests and escalates issues to other teams or support analysts when unable to resolve an issue. Associate may interact with his or her supervisor several times a week, perhaps daily, to receive guidance and feedback. As part of a SCRUM team the specialist will provide viable capacity to complete work in the cadence of our Program Increments. Some non-routine activities may require a supervisor’s advance approval. This role is generally characterized by basic/working levels of scope, complexity, and independent decision making within his or her function. 


  • Ensure stability in the production environment via a strong commitment to quality.  This includes necessary monitoring and support of information systems as needed.  This also includes participating in on call duties and rotation with other developers.
  • Provide daily support and maintenance for existing and future warehouse system applications.
  • Develop new and modify existing elements from requirements documents and less formal emails under the direction of senior personnel.
  • Apply problem solving skills directly related to Supply Chain Systems software and assets.
  • Participate with/assists other development team members with problem solving.
  • Assist Quality Assurance in testing and remediating defects.
  • Work collaboratively with others within and outside of his or her function to achieve goals, simply processes, reduce costs, prevent loss, and to ensure that work is completed safely, accurately, and on time.

  • Bachelor of Science with an accredited program in computer science, information systems or a related field or equivalent experience required.
  • At least 3 years of related work experience required.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and extended hours to support the business as needed.


  • Working knowledge of Manhattan Associates PKMS configurations, reporting, and job scheduling and troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of Manhattan Associates Open Systems configurations, reporting, and job scheduling and troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of syntax SQL (Standard Query Language) skills with the ability to understand relational data models
  • Proficient knowledge of data analysis, with the ability to relate data to business processes
  • Ability to exchange ideas and communicate effectively with others of varying technological knowledge using written and spoken English
  • Working knowledge of Distribution Center and Supply Chain Systems and processes
  • Ability to respond to related business needs as required during non-traditional, "on call" hours
  • Ability to understand and comply with all IT-related statutory requirements and with all GameStop policies and procedures, including but not limited to, those related to attendance and scheduling, conflict of interest, confidentiality, honesty and ethical conduct
  • Proficient ability to work collaboratively with others; conduct working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization
