GameStop is rapidly modernizing its enterprise technologies and is looking for an Infrastructure Architect to help shape the strategic direction of Global Infrastructure.  In this role, you will work collaboratively with delivery leaders and multiple architectural disciplines to design our enterprise systems, automate and streamline our operations and processes. Build and maintain patterns, reference architectures and governance for deployment, monitoring, and operations. 

We are looking for an experienced modern architect to join our growing organization. In this position, you will manage infrastructure architecture design and processes. Keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and solid knowledge base are essential.

•           Collaborate with IT leaders to understand business goals/objectives driving business growth and transformation

•           Participate in deep architectural discussions with enterprise, solution, security, data and application architects to ensure infrastructure viewpoints are designed for successful deployment, security, and high availability

•           Design solutions within a complex, global environment to meet proper performance and capacity standards including security, test disaster recovery and business continuity

•           Participate in and evaluate proof-of-concepts to support cloud and on-premise infrastructure

•           Present audience appropriate messages explaining technology vision and direction to executives as well as senior business & IT leadership

•           Serve as a change leader who guides and supports IT customers with confidence and integrity

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

•        Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related field or equivalent year-for-year related work experience required

•        10+ years compute and network experience (minimum of 1 with cloud) in large-scale global environment; (including the installation, maintenance and ongoing support of physical and virtual hardware, SAN, firewalls, routers, and load-balance solutions.); including higher layer protocols and security

•           Experience with microservices and/or container frameworks - Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos and adjacent technologies

•           Experience using CI/CD principles and programming to automate deployment workloads – Puppet, Salt, Terraform, Vault, Git, Jenkins, Packer, and repository management
