Working with minimal general supervision, the Senior QA Lead evaluates and tests new or modified software programs and software development procedures.  The primary business outcome is to ensure that programs function according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines.  The associate will interact with QA CoE team and other cross functional teams several times a week to receive guidance and feedback. Many non-routine activities will require a supervisor’s advance approval.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Senior QA Lead will be responsible for functional testing, test automation and performance testing of IBM Sterling Order Management, Snaplogic, EDI and Sterling Integrator
  • Design and execution of Test Plans, Test Strategy, Test Cases and Requirements Review
  • Perform identification and implementation of the automation framework, environment, and test approach
  • Plan, design, execute, and evaluate performance tests of applications and services using LoadRunner and JMeter  
  • Consult project teams on load/performance/stress and functional test strategies and best practices
  • Customize and troubleshoot scripts as necessary
  • Ability to clearly understand the environment issues and perform basic troubleshooting and analysis to resolve them
  • Work with cross functional teams, project managers, business analysts for planning, understanding requirements, end to end testing, test data creation and reviewing overall test strategy
  • Analyze load test results to accurately assess product quality and application performance.
  • Analyze new automation tools and evaluate them to recommend go forward automation tools for changing and emerging technologies

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or computer science
  • At least 7 years of Quality Assurance experience required; experience in a retail environment preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience with test automation and performance testing required
  • Experience with IBM Sterling Order Management, Sterling B2B Integrator, EDI and Snaplogic is a plus

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Experience working with IBM Sterling Order Management, Sterling Integrator, Snaplogic and EDI
  • Knowledge of Oracle SQL for backend data validation and data migrations checks
  • Experience with Agile (Scrum/SAFe) development methodology
  • Experience using data driven tests to validate API calls in n-tier architectures.
  • Experience with automated testing tools
  • White box API testing experience would be a plus.
  • Experience writing automated tests in a Continuous Integration (CI) systems is preferred
  • Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to team members
  • Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
  • Write automation test scripts using Java and tools such as Renorex, JMeter, Selenium and Java
  • Experience working in Linux environment
  • Support and coordinate user acceptance testing
  • Experience with Defect Management tools like HP Quality Center / ALM, TFS, JIRA
  • Experience with Java, XML, JSON, Snaplogic, EDI, JMS, Web Services, API Testing, Unix, Linux, Confluence, Cloud (AWS) application using S3, SQS and PubNub
