The Product Design team is a collaborative, data-driven, and fast-paced team of designers, ready to take on the challenge of delivering experiences that meet and exceed customer expectations. 

The Role 

In an invigorated effort to elevate the customer experience across our products, we're looking for a strong writer with expertise in crafting compelling UX copy for web and mobile. You’ll join our multi-disciplinary product and design group, focused on simplifying and providing clarity for the customer experience with clear UX copy balanced with brand voice and personality. In this role you’ll be bridging the experiences to our users and extending the brand from error messages and notifications to labels and navigation. This is an opportunity to put your creativity, your empathy, and your grammatic prowess to work! 


What You’ll Do 

  • Collaborate with product managers, product designers, engineers and analysts across product teams to generate rich informative and compelling experiences. 

  • Write clear and compelling user-interface copy for experiences across our web and mobile experiences. 

  • Use customer insights, data, and strategy to influence and shape copy. 

  • Ensure that the voice of the brand is reflected throughout the experience. 

  • Document your strategies with guidelines and establish best practices and strategy principles.  

  • Develop a UX Writing content style guide that includes voice and tone guidance and rules for grammar and punctuation.  

  • Guide best practices for UX writing in collaboration with our design systems team and other UX writers across the company 

  • Test copy with the research and product management teams to ensure it is resonating with our users. 

  • Partner with the Product Managers, Designers and UXR to create efficient workflows. 

  • Clearly able to communicate the intent of your work with the team and leadership 

What You’ll Need 

  • 5-7 years of experience in writing UX copy and content for ecommerce, and for B2C and B2B companies. 

  • Curiosity, empathy, and a passion for human-centered design. 

  • Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles for commerce, mobile, mobile web 

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate your approach and solutions. 

  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, and ready to create the foundation for growing UX writing as the organization scales. 

  • Portfolio of writing examples showing your writing prowess.
