SUMMARY

Under general supervision, the ThinkGeek Omnichannel Merchandising Specialist coordinates and executes merchandising for ThinkGeek’s digital initiatives in order to achieve key performance goals and a world-class consumer experience.  The E-commerce Merchandising Coordinator maintains multiple merchandising calendars, reviews key performance indicators daily and makes appropriate suggestions and changes to merchandising content.  This position works with the management team to optimize merchandising on the homepage, storefront, and marketing landing pages.  An associate in this position may interact with his or her supervisor several times a week, perhaps daily, to receive guidance and feedback. Some non-routine activities may require a supervisor’s advance approval.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform daily site merchandising according to merchandising calendars, guidance from management and individual analysis.
  • Provide excellent consumer experience by ensuring proper implementation of links, copy and navigation path.
  • Achieve add-to-cart and conversion goals by providing promotional feedback and recommendations to management.
  • Interface with multiple departments to prioritize, schedule and execute merchandising.
  • Provide merchandising recommendations to management based on analysis of on-site analytics.
  • Gather, maintain and share Merchandising calendars with appropriate parties and departments including Store Operations, Customer Service and Fulfillment.
  • Performs data entry including organizing and uploading retail data into various systems for merchandising purposes.

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) from accredited four-year college or university required, degree in general business or other related field preferred
  • At least one year of e-commerce experience preferred

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Working knowledge of basic HTML
  • Working knowledge of FTP and file editor applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Posses proficient analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
