SUMMARY

Working independently and strategically, the Omnichannel Vice President will be the principle architect and leader of GME’s Omnichannel strategic vision, including web operations, performance marketing, merchandising and implementation of GME’s value proposition across both brick and mortar and digital GME properties.  This role will oversee and own the P&L and will be accountable for expanding market share for the Omnichannel business, while driving revenue and a unified, experience across all GME channels.  This role is responsible for all business functions, customer service, analysis and product management within the Omnichannel organization. As part of the GME senior leadership team, this role will require close and collaborative partnerships with executive-level officers across the company including Merchandising, Technology, Marketing, Store Operations, Supply Chain and others, as well as managing several external partners to prioritize and enable new customer experiences across multiple digital channels.    This associate will interact with his or her supervisor and senior leadership as needed.  Most activities are completed without a supervisor’s advance approval. This role is generally characterized by high levels of enterprise-level scope; strategic, functional, and relational complexity, and a high level of independent decision making.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Define and lead strategic direction to build GME’s Omnichannel capabilities with a focus on driving consumer engagement and revenue in all channels
  • Serve as a principal Omnichannel architect leading new and entrepreneurial ways to drive business growth and improve engagement of the consumer digital experience
  • Accountable for growing online customers and revenue to achieve company targets, increasing consumer engagement and delivering strong margins for new customer growth
  • Responsible for P&L, for the Omnichannel business and will be accountable for developing strategies to enhance the brand and deliver profitable growth
  • Lead the long-term strategies in development for promotions, advertising, merchandising, site content development and creative execution
  • Provide superior quality shopping user experience for the customer, including compelling visual presentation, easy navigation and seamless shopping experience
  • Oversee web analytics and performance reporting
  • Partner with Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain to collaborate on the strategy of all channels and execution of the digital customer experience
  • Be the Omnichannel thought leader and champion for the organization by communicating the capabilities, functions, and omnichannel experience across the organization
  • Partner and gain alignment with key stakeholders at the executive level across the company
  • Work with internal and external partners to develop insights and actionable recommendations to drive new, sustainable business opportunities and build organizational capability through continuous improvement
  • Communicate with and involve senior leadership in insights and analyses regarding omnichannel trends

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • 10 or more years of related e-commerce experience required; with 5 or more years of experience in senior leadership required
  • Accredited Master’s degree required; additional undergraduate study, certifications, and related leadership experience may be considered in substitution

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Expert knowledge of digital commerce, including omnichannel strategy, digital marketing and acquisitions, emerging technologies, and e-commerce operations
  • Demonstrate track record of success in driving revenue and growing market share, while leading an e-commerce business
  • Expert knowledge of site optimization and testing, methodology and analysis to improve user experience and lift key success metrics
  • Operational and functional knowledge of e-commerce technologies and platforms
